PropSync — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PropSync ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by AGBAI CHINEDU KELVIN / PropSync, collects, uses, stores, and shares your personal information when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account information

When you register for PropSync, we collect your full name, email address, company name, and account credentials such as a password or authentication tokens from Google OAuth.

1.2 Connected platform credentials

To sync your data, you may provide API keys, OAuth tokens, or other credentials for third-party platforms (such as Guesty, Rentvine, Hostaway, Buildium, and QuickBooks). These credentials are encrypted before they are stored in our database and are only used to perform the syncing service.

1.3 Transaction data

We collect financial transaction data that you choose to synchronize between your connected platforms, such as rental income, expenses, owner payouts, fees, and related metadata.

2. How We Use Your Data

To provide, operate, and maintain the PropSync syncing service.
To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
To sync transaction data between your connected platforms as you configure.
To respond to support requests and communicate important service updates.
To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information or transaction data to third parties.

3. Data Storage and Security

PropSync is hosted on Supabase, which provides database infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Platform credentials are encrypted using a secure edge function before being stored, and we do not store raw, unencrypted keys in our database.

Access to your data is protected by Supabase Row Level Security (RLS) policies scoped to your authenticated user account, so your data is only accessible by you and our authorized service processes.

No system is completely secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Sharing with Third Parties

We share data only as necessary to provide the Service. This includes passing transaction data through to the platforms you connect, such as:

QuickBooks, for accounting and bookkeeping purposes.
Guesty, Rentvine, Hostaway, and Buildium, for property management data sources.
Paddle, if used for payment processing and subscription billing.

These third parties process your data under their own privacy policies and terms of service. We encourage you to review those policies before connecting your accounts.

5. Cookies and Analytics

PropSync does not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies. We only use essential session cookies required to maintain your authentication and operate the Service.

6. Data Retention

We retain sync logs for 30 days to help diagnose errors and reconcile issues. After 30 days, sync logs are automatically deleted.

Account information and connected platform credentials are retained for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it by law.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Request deletion of your data and closure of your account.
Request an export of your data in a readable format.

8. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Please note that PropSync may have US-based customers, and applicable data protection laws in those jurisdictions may also apply to the processing of your information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
